Prop Maker / Set Dresser / Art Director
I was approached by a post graduate film maker with regards to helping him out on a music video. I had just began prop making and sharing cheap repaints/kit-bashed props on my Instagram. We spent time meetings with the musicians to help piece together their plan and how I could bring it to life within a budget of £100.
The concept of the music video was that the two artists suffer a fatal car crash and as a result of their unconsciousness they wake up trapped in an ery dimensional world in which they are struggling to escape. We came together and I pitched the idea of using dolls and other children toys to create a gothic and horror atmosphere.
The props were all made to look as though they had experienced unimaginable events to symbolise other people that have been trapped in this world along with the growing fate that awaits the two singers trapped in this world. The props were then used to dress an old oak tree taking inspiration from 'The Island of Dead Dolls' in Mexico.
